A yearly initiative that is currently in its 8th year, RunKuwait once again is looking to raise awareness and funds to support the Children Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) and children with disabilities across Kuwait. Last year, RunKuwait had the largest event to date with more than 2,300 participants showing their support for this worthy cause.
The race funds are used to help families get much-needed treatment at a subsidized lower cost, or sometimes for free”
FSHN is motivated to go bigger and make this year’s RunKuwait the best one yet. The reason being that the number of children who need treatment is still large and CERC needs to be empowered to continue providing specialized quality care for children who otherwise may not get access to the care they need.
The raised funds are used to help families facing financial difficulties, helping them get much-needed treatment at a subsidized lower cost, or even for free in some cases. In its seventh edition, RunKuwait is offering two chipped distances – 5km and 10km – and is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. Although RunKuwait is a great opportunity for experienced athletes and competitive runners to challenge themselves, running is not a must. For those unable to run, they can opt to walk, jog or just stroll – as long as they participate in some way to support this great cause.
